Our story

I never considered myself a creative person. I just knew I loved making things that tasted good.

I started out making bitter, flat cookies that my family had to "enjoy." Eventually my skills improved, and I insisted on making dessert for our family's Thanksgiving dinner. The reviews were good — and that sparked something. I fell down a rabbit hole of cooking content and learned from talented bakers and chefs along the way. I'm completely self-taught.

I started selling cookies in high school around 2019–2020. I didn't have a big goal in mind; I just wanted to make some money. But as more people tried my food and I kept learning new skills, my horizons expanded.

Today, I cater events of all kinds. I love being part of your special moments and leaving a lasting impression on you and your guests. We always strive to create memories that last.

Kaira Always,
Oumou Doukoure

Kaira

KAI-rah

A name rooted in peace, blessings, and sweet beginnings.

Kaira comes from the Arabic word khayr (kha-yeer), meaning goodness or blessing. In my Mandingo culture, Kaira means well-being and blessings.

Inspired by my West African heritage, my mother's words, and the feeling I get every time I bake, this brand is more than just food. It's comfort. It's culture. It's a breath of goodness in every bite.

This next chapter is full of flavor and growth. Thank you for being part of the journey — we're just getting started.
